Borough Recycling Center
Borough residents are encouraged to take cardboard, newspaper, office paper, and aluminum to the Recycling Center instead of including it in their curbside collection bins. The Borough sells these valuable source-separated products on the local recycling market. This also avoids the $65 per ton disposal fee currently being charged for single stream (commingled) material.
Shredded paper is accepted at the recycling center but not curbside.
Glass and plastic are also accepted at the Recycling Center.
Food cans (ex. cat food cans) should only be put in the igloo. Please do not put in the aluminum trailer.
The Borough Recycling Center is located at 121 Dartmouth Avenue. Hours of operation are:
7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Weekdays
9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Weekends
Please be considerate of nearby neighbors and observe the posted hours.
Commercial and Institutional Recycling
Owners and occupants of commercial, municipal and institutional establishments are required to recycle at a minimum, paper, aluminum, glass, plastic, corrugated paper and leaf waste. Recyclers may contract with a private hauler or use the Borough's Recycling Center (located at 121 Dartmouth Avenue). A report of recycling activity must be submitted annually to the Borough.
