Yard Waste will be collected as scheduled on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. (Election Day)
Yard waste is collected the first and third Tuesday of every month. Yard waste must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. in either a trash can, recyclable brown bag, or tied into bundles. Just a reminder that sticks and branches may not exceed 4 feet in length or 4 inches in diameter, and no container to exceed 40 pounds. Grass clippings are not accepted in yard waste or regular trash. Please recycle throughout your lawn.
The Borough's regular collection of yard debris will continue at the same time as loose leaf collection. Those collection days are the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Leaves remaining after collection of loose leaves has ended may be included in the yard waste collection. Leaves must be placed in cans or brown paper bags - no plastic bags allowed.
Christmas trees will be collected curbside by the Public Works Department in January. Dates are posted on the front page of the website . If you dispose of your tree after January, please include it with regular yard waste collection.
Prefer to get rid of your yard waste yourself? The Delaware County Solid Waste Authority Compost Farm, located at the Marple Transfer Station (Marpit Drive and Sussex Blvd. in Broomall, Marple Township) is open the third Wednesday of each month from January through September for disposal of yard waste (shrubs, twigs, tree trimmings no larger than 4” in diameter or bundles no larger than 4’). Grass clippings WILL NOT be accepted. Farm hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proof of residency will be required.
