ages 2-3 1/2 with an adult). Songs, fingerplays,
flannel board stories & simple crafts.

Tuesdays
*January 9 to March 13 at 10 am. for ages 0-2
with an adult. Lapsit program, books, nursery
rhymes, songs, fingerplays and puppets.

PRESCHOOL STORY TIME

to 5. Stories, games, songs and crafts from
A-Z. 10 week session.
AFTER
SCHOOL BOOK CLUB

fairy tales, myths, legends and a theme related

About
the Library
The
Swarthmore Public Library circulates books, audiotapes,
CD books, videos, DVDs, music CDs and periodicals
for adults and children. Programming at
the library includes story hours for ages 0-10,
summer reading programs for ages 0-16 and adult
informational programs.
Book
Group for Adults
Meets
at 2:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month.
All interested adults are welcome to attend,
even if they haven’t read the book.
Technology
Topics
The
Swarthmore Public Library has a Closed Circuit
Television (CCTV) to help people with low vision
who want to read the fine print.
The
CCTV is located near the stairs to the children's
area in the library. Easy-to-read directions are
located near the machine. The CCTV was purchased
through donations, including a very generous gift
from the Coltman Family Foundation. For more information,

Computers
The
library has five computers that provide Internet
access. There is one additional computer
with the following Microsoft programs:
Microsoft Word 2000
Microsoft Excel 2000
Microsoft Access 2000
PowerPoint 2000
Publisher 2000
Front Page 2000
In
the children's area there is a computer available
for young people to play educational games.
(It is not connected to the Internet) Software
is available for ages 2-10.
Computer
Policy
The
Delaware County Library System has established
an Electronic Network Policy to regulate in-library
computer use:
- Patrons must have
a valid library card to use the Internet. There
is a sign up sheet at the circulation desk where
patrons sign in. Use is limited to one
hour per day.
- All library computers
are filtered. If there is a website that
you cannot access please speak to the library
staff to have it unblocked.
- Power Library
databases may be accessed from your home computer
with a valid library card.
- You may renew
books online from your home computer or by telephone.
- Computer use limited to one hour per day per
patron.
