Minutes of Finance and Community Development Committee Meeting of October 27, 2006
In attendance were Committee members Tom Huestis, chair, and Paul Beck. Also in attendance were Council Chair Peg Hebner Christenson and Borough Manager Jane Billings.
1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m.
2. No member of the public attended the meeting and therefore there was no public comment.
3. There were no minutes from prior meetings to be considered.
4. The Committee’s first agenda item was a discussion of Swarthmore Town Center Inc.’s 2007 budget request.
5. The next agenda item was a review of the preliminary 2007 budget which was let by Jane Billings and Mr. Huestis. The Committee discussed the changes from the preliminary budget review by Council at its October work and legislative sessions. The committee also discussed additional requests by outside agencies, not currently reflected in the current 2007 preliminary budget and the budget changes if the Council approved the outsourcing the commingled recycling.
6. No official actions were taken by the Committee.
7. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
