Attendance: Mary Lou Parker, Tom Huestis, Susan Smythe, Elizabeth Knapp, Jane Billings, Philip Jefferson (chair).

1. Public Comment
No public comment was received.

2. Approval of Finance Committee Minutes of September 26, 2008
The committee voted to approve the minutes.

3. Consideration of health care benefits for non-uniform Borough employees
The committee agreed that the proposed 2009 Borough budget should reflect a contribution by non-uniformed Borough employees for health insurance. That contribution would be 5% of premium cost.

4. Consideration of the proposed 2009 Borough budget
The committee agreed that three changes would be made to the proposed 2009 Borough budget:
(i) Trash fees would be raised to reflect the actual cost of trash collection
(ii) $10,000 would be added for the 2009 lease payment on a police vehicle
(iii) Compensation for non-uniformed Borough employees would be changed to reflect an employee contribution of 5% of premium cost for health insurance.
