1. Public Comment
Tom Dee, a professor of economics at Swarthmore College, expressed his opposition to the Earned Income Tax for
the Borough.
2. Approval of Finance Committee Minutes of 24 April 2009
Approved.
3. Consideration of answers of FAQs about the EIT
The committee discussed responses to commonly asked questions about the EIT.
4. Consideration of whether to bring the EIT discussion forward to the full Council
A consensus was not reached on whether the EIT was appropriate for the Borough at this time. The Committee
decided to study the issue more. This decision necessarily warranted a delay in moving the discussion to the full
Council.
